Big day today - Dad & Natcha, Ellen, Chris & Carissa, and Harry come over for lunch. The lounge is still a mess, so we hastily tidy that up, move the couch into it, and arrange a curry lunch with the local Indian takeaways. Harry has found a really good bargain for us - a beastly 8KW heat pump to warm up the house with. He insists on paying for it as well, as a housewarming present. We just need to get it installed, which was already the plan so the budgets are totally in place for it. It's a huge unit when it comes off Chris's truck!
The lunch goes well, and I even manage to convince a few people to try my liqueurs.
Chris has brought us an electric lawnmower, which will come in really handy, since the grass is already showing signs of being overgrown in places. And after all Dad's help already, he still manages to squeeze a handful of cash into Alex's hands. Good people, all.
